Check Community Access

• Create a clear game plan regarding the type of access
  • How private do you want your community; check your general settings to make sure you have it set to private or public.
    • Use of permissions on users and groups; the various groups with specific role-based permissions provide varying degrees of user access.

Populate your Community

• Begin populating the community with starter topics, posts, ideas, etc to give the community a good starting point and idea for the community feel
  • Nodes – Questions, Answers, Comments, Articles, Ideas, Topic tags
  • Use of different spaces – including the use of favorite spaces
  • Use of Navigation – establishing types of content seen in different spaces, what shows up in the content type lists and the order in which they appear in the list (using weight).

Gather Feedback

• Use of custom web panels with a poll or survey
• Use of spaces to create a specific feedback space
  • Already seed the space, poll, survey with questions such as: What did you like about the community? What did you not like about the community? What could be better about the community?
