New & Updated Features

The 2.25.0 provides 3 new features for all clients:

  • In-App Notification is now available as a standard feature. By enabling the In-App Notifications plugin, new "online" notification configurations are available for configuration in the Default Settings section under Notifications in the Admin control panel. A matching set of Online notifications is also available under the notification settings for each user in their preferences page. This allows the admin and users to elect which notifications they wish to receive online, which via email, or both. This can increase user engagement and reduce mail inbox noise.   • Group Badges are now available to help users be visually identified as belonging to a particular group. Communities might wish to denote Admins, or Moderators, Employees, Partners, or special user advocates / champions. This type of identification can help users better understand the context in which questions, comments, answers, articles and ideas are shared. This feature can also be used to help distinguish users who may be part of different divisions or organizations within companies. This first release allows a colored halo around the avatar of all users in a group to be displayed along with an optional group name which appears on mouse over, and on the user profile pages. This is configured by editing a group in the admin. Learn more about this feature!

  • A new Leaderboard is available. This can be found and configured in the user engagement section of the admin. Multiple leaderboards may be enabled, each reflecting the top community members who have distinguished themselves for a specific type of contribution. Leaderboards can reflect overall leaders based on reputation points, questions asked, comments and answers provided, correct answers provided, votes received, most articles, and most Ideas contributed. The leaderboards are configurable to reflect up to the top 10 users, and the time period is adjustable for last week, last month, last year, and all time. Maintenance Updates

  • ANSUP-14453 / ANSUP-11968 - Based on feedback from multiple customers, we have added the space name to email notifications so that the recipient knows which space the content resides in.
