2.22.5 Release Notes

September 24, 2021

Summary

The 2.22.5 release of AnswerHub contains maintenance updates

Change Log

  • MSAH-1896 Updated permissions related to the ability to mark accepted answers to resolve some scenarios with user ability to mark / unmark their own answers. Three permissions are involved and one permission was moved from the moderator roles section to the standard roles section for configuration consistency.

    • Accept an answer on own question - when granted, the user may mark answers provided by other users on questions that the user has asked. If this is revoked, the user may not mark answers.
    • Accept own answers - This permission has been moved from the moderator roles section to the standard roles as it is a companion permission. If only this permission is granted, the user will not be able to mark / unmark answers because no context is indicated. When granted in conjunction with Accept an answer on own question, then the user may also accept their own answer as well as answers of others. When granted in conjunction with moderator permission accept any answer, then the user may select their own answer as correct when they have provided an answer to a question asked by another user.
    • Accept any answer - This permission remains in the moderator roles section and when granted allows the user to mark answers on questions asked by other users. If only this permission is granted, then the user may only mark answers provided by other users on questions that were asked by other users (complete neutrality). If this is granted in combination with the permissions above, the user may also mark answers they provide on questions asked by other users and / or on their own questions.
  • ANSUP-14374 Resolved condition where spaces are not listed in the display page for custom web panels in the admin if they have been marked to be hidden from site navigation in the spaces configuration.

  • ANSUP-14450 Increased the clickable area on buttons in the WMD editor tool bar to improve consistency of user experience

  • Resolved an issue in which search re-index function can hang before completion and Java error is presented in the admin console. After upgrade to 2.22.5 on production, some clients may wish to re-run a search index during a period of low activity in their community (evenings) to ensure a complete and current index is being used.
